E-waste Management
Batteries, gel cells, sealed lead-acid batteries, and other electrical equipment must all be recycled properly according to the Pollution Control Board Rules. For whatever size or type of project, GTGPF provides documented de-installation, rigging, removal, logistics, shipping, storage, and recycling services.
The Environmental Protection Agency implemented the Mercury-Containing and Rechargeable Battery Management Act in 1996. The Act is designed to encourage recycling and reduce the amount of harmful pollutants that end up in landfills and groundwater. Some states have additional regulations that businesses must follow.
Commercial-grade batteries must be removed, recycled, and disposed of according to federal standards. We’ve taken extra precautions to ensure that your firm is never in danger of being fined by the EPA. We handle, transport, and ultimately smelt your retired battery systems and give all necessary documents.
Toxic substances, including lead, are found in UPS batteries. GTGPF meticulously removes old batteries while conforming to PCB rules. We carry the used battery to a recycling site where the battery’s acid is neutralised there, and the lead is removed for use in new products. Any battery components that can’t be reused are carefully disposed of.
